PTU also provide following scholarships to the students:
Fee Waiver Scheme for Topper students in his/her institute is given full fee   waiver.
 5%students are given the benefit of fee waiver who are meritorious and belong to the weaker section of society (03 Students).
Post Matric Scholarships are available for students belonging to SC & BC categories.
Full fee concession for SC candidates
Preference will be given to students passing from respective polytechnics
PTU will facilitate training of PITs students and bear travel expenditure of training programme and for attending any conference seminar also.
   
Welfare Scheme For Students
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students:
The annual income, from all the sources, of the students /parents or guardian should not exceed Rs.1 lakh. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is running by Punjab Govt. for SC/ST category students whoever parents lncome in less then 1lakh from all Sources.

Post Matric Scholarship for Students belonging to Minority Communities:
To be eligible, students should have notless than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
The annual income, from all the sources,of the students /parents or guardian should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh. Scholarship will not be given to more than two students in a family

  PTU Free Ship Scheme:
The PTU Free Ship Scheme will be open for the students of Regular and Distance Education Courses of PTU.
The following are the categories of students to be considered in the order of preference:
Parentless students: eligible for financial assistance for full free ship of fee, if the total family income of the student is less than2.50 lakh from all sources. <
Fatherless students: eligible for financial assistance for half free ship, if the total family income of the student is less than 2.50lakh from all sources. In case the income of concerned is less than 1.20 lakh then he/she shall be eligible for financial assistance for full free ship.
LowIncome Group students: eligible for financial assistance for half free ship, if the total family income is less than 2.50 lakh from allsources. In case the tolal family income is less than 1.20 lakh then he/she shall be eligible for financial assistance for full free ship.

  Scholarship scheme for students with Disabilities 2010-2011:
Inthis scheme, a scholarship of Rs.700/-per month to a day scholar and 1,000/-per month to a hosteller is provided to the students pursuing Graduate and Post Graduate level technical or professional courses ' A scholarship of Rs.400 /-per month to a day scholar Rs' 700/- per month to a hosteller is provided for pursuing diploma and certificate level professional courses' In addition to the scholarship, students are reimbursed the course fees subject to a ceiling of Rs'10'000/- per year.

  Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Girl Students belonging to Minorities:
Only Girls Students belonging to National Minorities(Muslims, Christians, Buddhists,Sikhs, Parsis)can apply.
A Student getting a Scholarship from any other Source would not be eligible for this Scholarship.
